About Lithuania

Railways cross the country north-south and east-west, linking Scandinavia to central Europe and Russia via Kaliningrad. Vilnius International Airport is 5 km south of the capital, and the euro has been Lithuania’s currency since 2015. Peak tourist season runs June through August, while the Kaziukas Fair in early February draws crowds to Vilnius’s folk art market.
